Landscapes

Landscapes were what I had in mind when I started photography (that, and maybe a few gigs). It’s probably growing up in such a beautiful place like Yorkshire you get to appreciate the aesthetics and also what got me into long distance cycling – getting out into that wonderful countryside and moors, as heaven knows I’ve not done much since getting to New South Wales (though that’s probably more to do with the heat, I don’t need helps sweating my ass off whilst cycling).

Here is also where the Sloth Shots name came about, I like to take my landscapes at the longer end of the shutter speed (especially the cityscapes) to remove unwanted people and vehicles from the scenes and, at night, get those lovely light streaks and soft, smoothed over water effects. Nice slow shutter.
